Utilising CCTV, advanced barcode scanners, and real-time tracking, Palletline’s Palleteyes system is reshaping visibility within the palletised freight sector. An innovative and industry leading solution, Palleteyes enhances quality control during unloading and reloading, eliminating inaccuracies in scans, enhancing safety, and accelerating Palletline’s freight sorting process by over 15% across its hubs.
The system activates within a two-metre range of a pallet, scanning its barcode and presenting crucial delivery details, including bay location, to the forklift driver. Additionally, two high-definition CCTV cameras capture close-up and wide-angle footage of the pallet’s entire journey from unloading to bay placement to reloading, granting Edge complete visibility of all our pallets.
As well as raising the bar for tracking systems, it improves safety by weighing each pallet as it is being handled and triggers an alert if a pallet exceeding 400kg is lifted above 1.2m, ensuring compliance with DVSA, HSE, and other regulatory standards. Developed in collaboration with Envisage Systems, the Palleteyes is a result of a £2 million investment by Palletline.
