Happy to help – Unlikely partnerships

We believe in good partnerships – with our team, our customers, our suppliers and also other businesses.
You might have spotted one of the Edge vans out and about over the last month or so driven by a Farrall’s Group driver. When their van broke down with no immediate fix possible, they needed an extra van to keep their operation running smoothly and wondered if we could help them out.
It might seem like a strange request, as you might see them as a competitor of Edge, but Farrall’s are a local, family run business like us and are fellow members of the Transport Association.
The TA as they are known is a network of around 60 haulage companies, mainly family owned businesses, across the UK. Its a collaborative association – giving its members access to a network of people faced with similar issues within our challenging industry. We share experiences, offer help and support. This can be as simple as letting one of their drivers stay overnight at our secure site in Deeside so they can have a safe night’s sleep with rest facilities available to them, or in this case loaning them one of our vans to help them keep the show going.
They used our van for several weeks whilst theirs was being repairs and in return we just asked for a donation to our nominated charity, the wonderful Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Farrall’s Group made a very generous donation of £600 to the Hospice which we are sure is very much appreciated, as was Matt’s post on Linkedin:
