Nikki is our Finance Director and part of the Edge family. Nikki first met husband Jonathan when she was working at Palletline in Birmingham, back in the days when she knew every depot’s P number by heart! With a background in banking, logistics, IT and 3PL contract management, Nikki has a wide ranging skill set which gets put to good use at Edge.
Nikki has a small finance team working for her including Elin (Accounts Controller) and Rachel (Accounts Assistant). Together they manage all the financial aspects of the business from invoicing through to credit control and long term financial planning.
Nikki and her team also look after the HR aspects of the business, from payroll through to contracts of employment, induction packs and all personnel administration.
Marketing is something that Nikki enjoys and she’s written several winning award entries for Edge (and Palletline) as well as judging the Flintshire Business Award sponsored by Edge for the last few years.
Nikki also has responsibility for the IT systems and oversaw the GDPR compliance project which saw a new document management system being implemented by Nikki and Elin in 2018.
Nikki has high expectations of herself, as well as others, and always wants the best for Edge. She’s an advocate for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, organising the Team Edge fundraising events and bespoke trailer livery. She is also responsible for the launch of the Food Surplus Redistribution scheme and other initiatives such as our Public Access Defibrillator and blood pressure monitor.
