We are currently in very strange times, with so much having changed since the Coronavirus lockdown started. We wanted to highlight the kindness of some of our customers and contacts who are stepping up to the challenges presented.
Over the past few weeks we have helped deliver donated products to several locations across the North West.
Calbee Food in Deeside have donated pallets of Yushoi snacks to both the Countess of Chester Hospital and Liverpool Women’s hospital; helping to keep our wonderful NHS keyworkers well fed and to give them a boost during their challenging shifts. Their donations have been especially welcome as the Baked Pea Snacks are vegan and gluten-free which means that they are suitable for the vast majority of their wonderful staff.
Nanny Biscuit has secured 7 pallets of dry food items donated by Airbus UK. These are being used to provide emergency shopping supplies and easy order food packs for those unable to get out to the shops or get an online shopping delivery slot, as well as stocking up the Mold Community Shop. If you haven’t heard of them before, Nanny Biscuit is a community group of volunteers who aim to bring back old fashioned values and lost community spirit. Their actions over the past few weeks to mobilise and help the most vulnerable during Coronavirus pandemic is inspiring. Why not follow them on Facebook?
Whilst the pandemic is bring huge challenges and sadness, it is also reigniting community spirit and inspiring people to help others.
Please stay safe, social distance and stay home wherever possible to help protect your loved ones, the loved ones of others, as well as to protect the NHS.
